Plains Insurance is an established, full service brokerage marketing our products in Edmonton and surrounding areas for more than 40 years. The friendly, knowledgeable and professional service we provide to our clients has been directly responsible for the ongoing growth of our company through client referrals. We are currently looking to fill a full time customer service representative opening.

Professional and Personal attributes:

  • Level 1 or 2 General Insurance License
  • Minimum 3 years Personal Lines Experience
  • Good knowledge of Personal Lines products
  • Positive, friendly attitude.
  • Pleasant telephone manner
  • Strong focus on customer service
  • Experience with Power-Broker (or similar insurance software), Applied Rating System software, company portals and related integrations.
  • Attention to detail/good organizational skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Reliable attendance (weekdays only, 8:30 am -4:30 pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data entry including invoicing, endorsements, abeyances and monitoring of same.
  • Review of incoming documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Significant interaction with clients on all matters relating to their personal insurance.
  • Provide clients with advice and recommendations with respect to needs, coverage and claims
  • Follow up on client and underwriter requests.
  • Ability to quote and write new business.
  • Ability to interact well with co-workers and company underwriters.
